How to measure your dog:

We encourage you to use our measurement guide to be sure that you select the right size for your dog.

  1. Top Line - Measure from the middle of the shoulder blades along the back bone to the dock of the tail.

  2. Girth -- Measure the distance around the girth from just behind the front legs.

  3.  Front Legs - Measure the length of the front legs from the elbow to the dew claw.

Compare your dog's measurements with those listed in the size categories below to determine the most appropriate size for your dog. If your dog's measurements fit into more than one category, use the Top Line measurement alone to select the best size.

DON'T FORGET: You can also easily modify the suit

If you have measurements in more than one size, please use the TOP LINE measurement as the most important in determining the size.
Be sure to measure from the SHOULDER BLADES to the BASE OF THE TAIL

Note: We currently do not make coats specifically for short legged breeds such as Basset Hounds and Dachshunds.  However, we have had numerous customers purchase and modify the garments to fit their dogs.

This list of breeds is a general guide to selecting the appropriate sized coat. We recommend you use this list with the measurements table to get the most appropriate sized garment for your dog. Remember that a snug fit provides the best garment fit. So, if you dog’s measurements are on the borderline of a size, go with the smaller size.
